Company History (reference General Cigar Co.):
"Joseph Cullman went to work as a tobacco merchant. In 1904, Joseph’s son Joseph Jr. joined the family’s tobacco business, now known as Cullman Brothers, and soon began developing Connecticut Shade tobacco from Cuban seed, a leaf that wraps many of the cigars in our expansive portfolio to this day.
In 1944, returning from Washington after a stint with the U.S. Treasury Department, Edgar Cullman Sr. became the first of the fourth generation family members to work at Cullman Brothers. At his father’s insistence, he learned the business literally from the ground up, starting with tobacco cultivation and cigar rolling.
As the company grew and prospered, selling sought-after tobacco to cigar makers, Edgar Cullman felt the urge to make cigars. In 1960, he purchased General Cigar Company, the producer of White Owl, William Penn, Van Dyck and Robert Burns cigars." -

How do you handle refunds for items received damaged?
All of our domestic shipments are insured. Just send us photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging within 3 days of receipt and we will issue an immediate refund, including original shipping charges. International Buyers will need to seek refunds from the shipping carrier; Bleak House 302 will be happy to provide you with purchase receipts, if needed.
What if I'm unhappy with the item once received?
We strive to do our best to accurately represent every item by photos and written description. We do not want unhappy customers! :( You may return any undamaged item within 7 days of receipt for a full credit of the sale price. Returned item shipping charges between Bleak House 302 and you and you and Bleak House 302 are not refundable.
