DetailsFully tested and ready to go, this mic will not disappoint. It works perfecting with zero issues, EV mics were always pretty tough but this one is just beautiful. Electro-Voice made 2 versions if this microphone in 1983, One called the 660 and the other 660A. Both were the exact same microphone except the 600 (this on) has a chrome finish.
The mic has a nice, even and professional sound. It is a vintage alternative to some of the higher-end Shure microphones of today.
It is a dynamic mic, therefor it does NOT require external power to run such as 48v.
The first thing you'll notice is how dark and clear the microphone sounds when compared to modern microphones which I often find sound a bit too bright and shrill. This mic though, I know what it can do because I've heard it. Combined with a tiny bit of EQ and Compression, this mic sounds like a great talk radio or podcast mic . These were quite popular in their day for such things. Not just because the sounded great, but because the 660 offered superb "rejection." This means that the Electro-Voice 660 is a very quiet microphone. It rejects background noise and noise off to the side very well. So you really hear more of the person talking (or singing) directly into it.

How do you handle refunds for items received damaged?
All of our domestic shipments are insured. Just send us photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging within 3 days of receipt and we will issue an immediate refund, including original shipping charges. International Buyers will need to seek refunds from the shipping carrier; Bleak House 302 will be happy to provide you with purchase receipts, if needed.
What if I'm unhappy with the item once received?
We strive to do our best to accurately represent every item by photos and written description. We do not want unhappy customers! :( You may return any undamaged item within 7 days of receipt for a full credit of the sale price. Returned item shipping charges between Bleak House 302 and you and you and Bleak House 302 are not refundable.
