Antique 1800s Britannia Ware Teapot

DetailsI purchased this antique teapot from a local farmers auction. There was an old handwritten note inside (pictured above) that caught my attention. It read "Samual Simpson 1833 - 52 Britannia Ware. Give to Sue."
Even though I have no way of confirming the notes description. I have no reason to doubt it either. This teapot is indeed from the 1800s. It's quite possible that it was made before 1850 as the note describes. The "Samual Simpson" is most likely referring to Simpson, Hall & Miller Co. They were a Connecticut based manufacturer of "Britannia" during the mid 1800s.
It is made of pewter or as the note says "Britannia Ware" which is a pewter like material.
It stands approx. 10 inches tall, 10 inches wide, has a 6 inch diameter and weighs 2.4 pounds.
I will include the note I found inside with it.
As you can see from the photos, it has a dent in the lid and another near the bottom edge.

How do you handle refunds for items received damaged?
All of our domestic shipments are insured. Just send us photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging within 3 days of receipt and we will issue an immediate refund, including original shipping charges. International Buyers will need to seek refunds from the shipping carrier; Bleak House 302 will be happy to provide you with purchase receipts, if needed.
What if I'm unhappy with the item once received?

We do not want unhappy customers! :( You may return any undamaged item within 7 days of receipt for a full credit of the sale price.
