Glass Top Wagner Ware Dutch Oven With Trivet

This is a very unique, glass-top, cast iron Wagner Dutch Oven set that I put together myself. The three pieces that make up the set were not original to one another. They are fantastic in their own right and fit together beautifully.

The cast iron pot is a 1940s era Wagner Ware "Round Roaster" (pattern #1268.) It’s in phenomenal condition, seasoned and restored. Ready for the kitchen. This would’ve had a cast iron lid that said “Wagner Round Roaster.” Instead we have a beautiful 1960s era Wagner Ware glass-top lid. Some minor scratches but overall in great condition. A great fit for this Dutch oven. As a bonus I’ve added an unmatched, 3 legged #8 trivet dating anywhere from the 1920s - 1940s and just like the rest of this set, it's been cleaned and restored.

The condition of these 3 pieces is truly amazing and the main reason I put this set together. I could've continued picking for the original "Round Roaster" lid but when you have a hard to find glass-top Wagner lid in this good of condition, why bother? It also just happens to be a perfect fit. Not too snug, easy to lift on and off while cooking.

Like I mentioned before, the cast iron has been restored and seasoned. Some discoloration to the inside but that's from the seasoning. It will even itself and darken after a few meals cooked on the stove.

I really love this set and hope it finds a good home where it's well taken care of. Especially the glass lid which is getting increasingly difficult to find. With proper care, this Dutch oven will last you and your family a lifetime.
