DetailsI love finding rare bottles and this D. McCullin soda bottle from Wilmington, Delaware is about as rare as it gets.
The seam of this bottle extends just over the shoulder which is important to mention here because bottle seams are often used by collectors such as myself to date bottles. It is not an exact science but a bottles seam can give collectors a rough estimate for when a bottle was made.
So when was this bottle made? According to its shape and seam; before 1860.
This is a very old bottle.
The condition is obviously not perfect. A crack that runs halfway around the neck (pictured above,) discoloration and cloudiness throughout. When you take into consideration that this bottle could be over 160 years old, I'd say it held up pretty well.
Just a great bottle and more importantly, a great piece of Wilmington history.

How do you handle refunds for items received damaged?
All of our domestic shipments are insured. Just send us photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging within 3 days of receipt and we will issue an immediate refund, including original shipping charges. International Buyers will need to seek refunds from the shipping carrier; Bleak House 302 will be happy to provide you with purchase receipts, if needed.
What if I'm unhappy with the item once received?
We strive to do our best to accurately represent every item by photos and written description. We do not want unhappy customers! :( You may return any undamaged item within 7 days of receipt for a full credit of the sale price.
